The Band

Trip the Breaker is a dynamic rock cover band, founded in 2016. Each member brings around 40 years of musical expertise and a passion for delivering high-energy performances.
We specialize in covering well-known rock songs, trying carefully to select tracks that aren't overplayed. Our mission is to bring the timeless thrill of rock to every audience, making every gig a memorable experience.

Julie - Vocals

Julie brings solid vocals and a fun-loving stage presence that always gets the crowd going. Her previous musical experience include singing for The Pope on Lebreton flats, and bands like Your Alibi, Bête Noire and Arcana.

Influences include: Styx, Journey, Queen and a few strong Canadian female artists.

Brian - Bass

A "keep the groove steady" kind of player. Past local bands have included KarmaCode, Your ALIBI, Madhatter, and Shadowvale.

Influenced by Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath.

Rod - Guitar

Playing guitar for 35 plus years, Rod (aka Gord) has covered most styles through the years, but remains a 70's and 80's rocker at heart. Always up for a good jam and playing live.

Influences include Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Satriani, Brent Masson, etc.

Bill - Drums

Bill brings a style and a beat to any band he has played in that is full of drive and power. Over the years you may have seen Bill in local bands like Your ALIBI, Fanatical Jack and Treble Junkies.

He adds the thunder like no other behind the electricity of Trip the Breaker.

Influences include, but not limited to, Ian Paice, John Bonham, Cozy Powell, Alex Van Halen etc.

Paul - Guitar
Backing Vocals, Keyboards

Paul rounds out the blazing double guitar attack.

Paul started his musical journey playing guitar at 15 years old but played in his first few bands as a bassist. He moved back to playing guitar in his later years. He also started picking up keyboards and harmonica. You may have seen paul previously in a local band called "Grin and Bare it".

Influences/inspiration was Eddie Van Halen when he started guitar and still has a strong passion for 70s and 80's rock along with the alternative rock hits from the 90's
